The leaves have changed colors, and the chilly morning temperatures are upon us.  November has arrived.

The District meeting on Sat 12 Oct went well.  Our Youth Essays closed.  Halloween week is still planned with Scaryoke on Tue 27 Oct and our Post Halloween Party on Sat 31 Oct.  Visit the clubroom calendar - Clubroom - for more details.

First off, Happy Birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps (10 Nov).  251 years old.

Our Veterans Day Buddy Poppy campaign will run from Fri 06 Nov to Tue 10 Nov.  We need volunteers to help collection donations for our Relief Fund so we can assist needy Veterans and their families. Contact Adjutant Fred Seaton for supplies and to choose your day/time and location of collection.  You can also donate by visiting

On Wed 11 Nov, the Post will have its Veterans Day Picnic and Potluck.  Doors will open at 11:00a and food service will be from 12:00p-2:00p.  Entertainment begins at 4:00p and ends at 8:00p

On Sat 14 Nov, we’ll needing volunteers to help prepare 100 Turkey Dinner packs for the Thanksgiving Holiday to hand out to financially challenged Veterans and their families. The packs will consist of two Turkey breast slices, mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy.  The meals will be frozen and come with heating instructions attached to them.  We’ll also need additional volunteers to deliver the packs by Thanksgiving. Contact Adjutant Fred Seaton for more information.

After Thanksgiving will support the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program by having collections bins in the main lobby.  Flyers will be out soon with recommended toy donations.  Donations can be dropped off at the Post during normal business hours. Financial donations will also be accepted and we’ll shop for you.

On Sat 19 Dec, the Post will host its annual Christmas Party and then on Thu 31 Dec, we’ll have our New Year’s Eve celebration.  More information is forthcoming.
